New 2006 UL Standard GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTERS:

Ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCI) can help prevent electrocution inside and outside the home. GFCIs are an effective means of protecting against electrical shock.

"Ground faults" are often the result of damaged applicance cords or consumers who use electrical products in wet environments, such as the Kitchen, Bathroom, Pool, Hotels and resorts, Retail locations, Business offices, Apartments and condos etc.

NEW FEATURE AND BENEFITS OF OUR 2006 UL LISTED GFCI:
1). End of Life Provision: When a GFCI receptacle is incapable of passing its internal test function (it can no longer provide ground fault protection, it will comply with either (a) or (b):
a. Render itself incapable of delivering power
b. Indicate by visual and/ or audible means that the device must be replaced.

2). Reverse Line-Load Miswire: A GFCI will deny power to the receptacle face if it's miswired

3). Higher Surge-withstand: Current UL requirements call for a GFCI to shut down if it can't meet a 6KV, 3KA surge test. However, a series of heavy-duty MOVs in the Autoguard allow it to meet those requirements without shutting down.
